GRAVESTONE PHOTOS

Funnell/Pelling

This grave is in the back yard of Baptist Chapel, Hailsham. Stonemason - "A. THORNTON, Hailsham":

TEXT:

"In Loving Memory of
Our Praying Mother MAACHAL DALLAWAY PELLING,
youngest daughter of
Mathew & Elizabeth FUNNELL
Beeney's Farm, Chiddingly.
Who departed this life April 6th 1895,
aged 68 years.
Blessed are they which hunger and thirst
after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

"Nothing in my hand I bring,
Simply to thy cross I cling,
Naked come to thee for dress,
Helpless look to thee for grace,
Black, I to the fountain fly,
Wash me Savior or I die.

Not lost but gone before.
Erected by her children."
