This grave is in the front yard of Baptist Chapel, Hailsham. To the right of the Francis Henry WINCHESTER LADE grave.
TEXT:

"Sacred
To the memory of
Thomas HEAD,
Who died April 25th, 1879,
Aged 78 years.
Also of Lydia, his wife,
Who died December 30th 1848,
Aged 43 years.
For the Lord Himself shall descend
>From Heaven with a shout,
With the voice of the
And with the trump of God
And the dead in Christ shall rise first
Then we which are alive and remain,
Shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
To meet the Lord in the air;
And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Also of Andrew HEAD,
Son of the above,
Who died March 21st 1885,
Aged 38 years.
Ye shall be gathered ----"
