This is a picture of the daughters of John and Mercy KENWARD of Hailsham. On the left is Sarah Jane, who married John STACEY. Sarah and John had a son, Fredrick KENWARD STACEY, born Nov. 9, 1872 in Crawley, Surrey and a daughter, Nelly Jane STACEY, born July 26, 1875 in Bletchingley, Surrey. They were members of the East Grinstead Church. On the right is Mercy Elizabeth, who married John JOHNSON. Mercy and John had a son, Harry JOHNSON, born April 28, 1862. Mercy and Sarah Jane had three brothers: John Caleb, Samuel Standen, and George Henry. John Caleb KENWARD was my 2 great grandfather.
